FMD

The FMD Relief Fund is set up by Government, through the Ministry of Agriculture, to assist cattle farmers in the Ngamiland District.  The outbreak of FMD resulted in the restriction of cattle movement in the area.  Cattle in this district cannot be slaughtered in the BMC abattoirs, resulting in financial constraints on the farmers.
