Applications will only be assessed after closure for the “call for proposals” and responses to successful applicants will be given within 1 month from the date of closure.

Yes. All unsuccessful applications will receive communication in writing from the Bank. 

The fund is only available for existing projects.

Yes, both companies and individuals can apply.

All beneficiaries will be required to sign a grant agreement that will outline what is expected from beneficiaries.

Applicants are encouraged to conduct their own research about the current impact of their operations as well as the benefits of any interventions they will propose for funding.

The Bank will be looking for proposed interventions that demonstrate the highest environmental, technical and social benefits. Section 11 of the application from provides guidance to help applicants structure their proposals. 

NDB is a development Bank and 100% owned by the Botswana Government Botswana. However, unlike other financial institutions set up by the government it does not offer subsided interest rates because the funding is not provided by Government. Therefore NDB operates purely on commercial terms in order to survive.

NDB finances many sectors such as Mining and Manufacturing, Retail, Property and Human Capital Development.

You don't have to be employed to access NDB products. However; one can apply as a sole proprietor, syndicate or company. Otherwise a salary will have to do.
