The Agriculture loan provides financing for both crop animal production projects within Botswana. The agriculture loan covers many facets of projects, providing for a wide scope of use. The following areas are financed under commercial agriculture for both crop and animal production:

Crop Production (Horticulture & Dryland farming)

• Agricultural machinery & equipment, including Tractors 
• Agricultural inputs (fertilizers, chemicals, seeds, feed, labour, contract ploughing, land development etc.)
• Water Development – includes Borehole drilling & equipping, water reticulation and purchase of existing borehole
• Farm Development-includes Purchase of farms, destumping & field clearing, fencing, Farm house, & storage facilities.

Livestock Production

• Livestock/breeding stock
• Poultry
• Piggery
• Dairy
• Small stock (sheep & goats)
• Game ranch
• Agricultural machinery & equipment
• Agricultural inputs (fertilizers, chemicals, seeds, feed, labour, contract ploughing, land development etc.)
• Water Development – includes Borehole drilling & equipping, water reticulation and purchase of existing borehole
• Farm Development-includes Purchase of farms or ranches, fencing, Kraals/ animal holding facilities, Farm house, Farm machinery & equipment & storage facilities.
