NDB today took the Minister of Finance Honourable Peggy Onkutlwile Serame on a tour of its financed projects in Pandamatenga Farms. The tour enabled the Minister to appreciate the role NDB plays in ensuring food security for Botswana.

NDB has worked with Pandamatenga commercial over the past 15 years. Through this collaboration, the output per hectare in Pandamatenga has increased from 2 tonnes per hectare to the current average of 4.5 tonnes/hectare. This production level is important in aiding the government of Botswana to attain the desired food security, create employment and diversify the economy from over-reliance in diamonds.

The Minister was happy to see the amount of investment that has gone into Pandamatenga Farms, as well as the commitment shown by farmers, and she commended them for helping to feed the country.
