SADC DFI Games 2019

National Development Bank (NDB) took part in the 2019 edition of the SADC DFI Games. This year’s edition of the games where hosted by Botswana Development Corporation under the theme “Promoting professional exchange and excellence through the power of sport” and development financial institutions (DFI’s)from the region that participated in the games include Lesetho National Development Corporation (LNDC), iThala and Ithala SOC Limited (Durban, South Africa) FinCorp (Iswatini), CEDA (Botswana) and the host being BDC.

This games provide participation DFI’S with the opportunity to not only have fun, but also to network and share cultural exchanges. One of the most unique and interesting aspect that was introduced this year was Business Exchange session which allowed the various DFI’s to share about their various projects, challenges and their milestones. NDB was represented by Head of Client Services Ms Sethunya Gaolebogwe who shared with the audience about the Bank’s mandate, its footprints and the various challenges it encounters as a DFI in Botswana.

Below are the final results for team NDB from the games;

  • Sag Race Men- 1st Position
  • Sag Race Ladies- 3rd Position
  • Ladies Soccer- 2nd Position
  • Volleyball mixed- 3rd Position
  • Netball- 1st Position
  • 400*400 relay- 3rd Position
