The Green Energy Transition for Sustainable Agriculture will provide subsidies to existing farming enterprises in the agricultural value chain to implement green technology and smart farming interventions.

The objective of the fund is to achieve positive environmental and social outcomes by funding (grants) the implementation of green and smart farming technologies.

  1. Replacement of diesel engines/generators 
  2. Fitting of solar water pumps 
  3. Solar PV
  4. Energy saving solutions in cooling and lighting 
  5. Water efficient irrigation (e.g. drip irrigation) 
  6. Controlled farming environments to improve water and energy efficiency (e.g. shade netting, tunnels, hydroponics
  7. Others

Application forms can be collected from all NDB branches and the NDB website ( www.ndb.bw).

Applications can be submitted at all NDB branches.

No. Applications should be submitted with proof of availability of the 35% contribution for consideration on assessment. 

All successful applicants will receive a grant Offer Letter that will amongst other things prompt them to pay the 35% into an NDB account.

No. All successful applicants can only benefit once.
