As a general duty, the Bank has to ensure that its business is conducted in the manner best suited for the efficient and economical utilization of its funds, and best calculated to achieve the purpose for which it is established.
The premise of this statement implies that the bank should operate in an ethically sound environment. The Hotline is established for the purpose of providing an avenue for individuals to report fraud, waste and abuse within the bank's programs and/or operations.
The system is intended to provide a resource to identify any fraud and/or abuse that may be occurring in relation to the bank's operations. It is not intended to be an outlet for personal vendettas or frivolous information. This is a serious attempt to help protect the bank's resources or assets against fraud and / or abuse.
